Yasmin Chawdhery has been a leading barrister/attorney in Family Law, Immigration and Human Rights Law and Education Law for over 20 years. She has regularly appeared at all levels of court, including the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.

20 years ago, Yasmin completed her pupillage, (straight after she finished the Bar Vocational Course (BVC)), at a barristers Chambers in Central London now called Fourteen. (It was then known as “14 Grays Inn Square Chambers”). After years of practicing as a barrister in Chambers, Yasmin was headhunted by an LA Law firm (where the partners are Harvard and Oxford University graduates) and she worked as an International Attorney in America. She is therefore qualified in both the UK and the USA and has worked on many high-profile cases in both countries.

Yasmin has been described as legal commentators as “captivating in the courtroom, winning any case she touches” with “incredible advocacy skills” and “known for her attention to detail and ability to remain in control even during the most complex of cases.”

Academically, Yasmin achieved the highest mark in the country when studying Advanced Level (A’ Level) Law and appeared in the newspapers the following day. She appeared in the top 5% during her Law Degree (First Class) at the University of Manchester before the went on to undertake the Bar Vocational Course (BVC) in London. Even before she had completed the BVC, she had already been offered a pupillage at a prominent barristers’ Chambers in Central London.

Yasmin has received a string of awards during her career at the Bar including an International Grant Award from the UK Bar Council due to her work as an international lawyer over the years. Yasmin contributes regularly to legal journals and regularly speaks at legal conferences in both the UK and the USA.
